Rethink Pink
“This is an opportunity to explore and express the use, meaning and significance of one particular colour in the culture of your choice or say, to examine how that colour is perceived in different cultures and the impact that these factors might have in communication and cultural exchange.”
This project surrounds the idea of stereotypes and associations built with colour, specifically pink. It explores the general associations people build of pink in a satirical manner. With exaggeration, generalisations and irony, this zine takes 5 terms on what pink means; feminine, peaceful, love, gay and love, through different stylistic layout and design to create this contrast in what one colour can evoke.
